Jones Lang LaSalle approached us to deliver six high-end office suites on different levels at 140 William Street, each with a different function and design aesthetic. The boardroom, meeting room, breakout area and open-plan work and utility areas needed to respond to the strong architectural language of the building while maintaining broad appeal to attract a range of future tenants.
The suites were spread out across all four sides of the building, which gave each space a key point of difference – its unique aspect. We used this positioning to develop a design scheme based on six different times of the day, customising the finishes, furniture and lighting for each suite so it told its own story.
Working within tight timing and budgetary constraints, we used a considered colour palette inspired by atmospheric changes and a variety of textural finishes to create visual interest and differentiate the themes. The outcome was a suite of bright, individual yet functional multipurpose workspaces that appealed to a broad range of prospective tenants.
