Prime Creative Media, a multi-faceted publishing/marketing company approached Studio 103 with the task of designing their new office space at Docklands Drive, Melbourne.

After attaining a stunning new 3 story development and undergoing a full re-brand, Prime Creative’s vision was to create a working environment catering to a growing team that felt vibrant and punchy, whilst also allowing the bones of the building to be a critical feature piece.

The grand double height ceilings and monolithic feature arch windows allowed an abundance of natural light on all three levels. Our aim was to keep the workspaces open and exposed to capitalise on these magnificent architectural elements, which naturally led to strategically placing all the built zones along the core.

Carefully considering the materiality used on the façade of the building, a soft green tile is seen on the external façade as a feature element. This formed the base of the design and material exploration. This green base was then contrasted with a vibrant, burnt orange in hopes to give the new space both a sense of continuity from its external surrounds and the impact Prime Creative were hoping for.

The chosen deep greens and punchy oranges were implemented throughout the finishes in a carefully considered manner to delineate work zones, while floor to ceiling soft sheer curtains created flow, complimenting the palette and framing those magnificent windows as a feature art piece.
