Koustas & Co Chartered Accountants had just signed the lease for their new office space which was handed over to them as a warm shell. S103 were engaged to transform that warm shell into a brand-new workspace that reflected who they were as an organisation and their future aspirations.

Their main design request was that the new space felt exciting to work in. This essentially formed the design brief for the project – a designer’s dream project, might we add!

Studio 103 saw this as an excellent opportunity to challenge Koustas & Co’s way of thinking, to step outside the box and break the stereotype of what a traditional account’s office should look like – and they were only too willing to jump on board!

We wanted to provide Koustas with an exhilarating and grand arrival space for their clients, putting forward an art gallery with stunning lime washed timber flooring celebrating the open arrival space, coupled with magnificent views filtering through the large double doors of the boardroom as you arrived. Hints of deep green in the glazing channels made a statement and referenced the company’s branding as the space transitioned seamlessly into an open-plan reception area.

The arrival space then evolved further. Introducing a very moody bar instead of a reception desk; with bronze steel accents and a beautiful stone pairing, coupled with specialised integrated lighting. This truly enhances the arrival experience. Clients are greeted with an elegant art gallery, open organic architecture, and finally a bar; to make yourself a drink while you wait for your meeting with Koustas.
